TRANSFORMERS

 GENERAL PURPOSE

Jenkins Electric distributes transformers manufactured by Dongan Electric, Micron Industries, Powertran Corporation and Rex Manufacturing.  Powercon Disconnects are designed for use with high voltage transformers.

VARIABLE VOLTAGE

Jenkins Electric distributes the STACO Energy, Power Designs Variac^®, the Superior Electric Powerstat^®, Weschler Volt-Pac.

MOTOR STARTING

Jenkins Electric manufactures autotransformers and steel core reactors for motor starters. Standard equivalent replacements are available for Allen Bradley, Cutler Hammer, General Electric, Square D/Wagner and Westinghouse type units. We distribute Solid State Motor Starters, Micro Inverters and Alexa Inverters manufactured by Motortronics. Additionally, we can supply required Dongan Electric, Powertran Corporation or Rex Manufacturing Drive Isolation Transformers and/or Rex Manufacturing Line Reactors for use with these devices.

VOLTAGE REGULATORS

Jenkins Electric distributes Warner Electric Stabiline^® Voltage Regulators and UPS Systems.

TEST EQUIPMENT

The new CB Series Test Supplies offer current limited soft starting on incremental settings for AC outputs and testing and infinitely variable DC outputs for both Field and Armature supplies. The DB Series Test Supplies add a Percentage Tap Switch and Bypass Contactor to this design. The Percentage Tap Switch provides adjustments of 92.5%, 95%, 97.5%, 100%, 102.5%, 105%, 107.5% amd 110% to the input of the test supply. The Bypass Contactor automatically engages at the top of the voltage ramp to bypass the soft starter on AC Starting. Additionally, it may be used to provide AC full voltage starts. The DB Series Test Supplies may be equipped with optional AC High Voltage outputs to 4200 VAC. All supplies may be equipped with the Test Documentation Systems.

We also distribute Metering, Current Transformers, Shunts, Rectifiers, Varistors, Plug Type Connectors, Rotary Tap Switches and Load Break Switches for the upgrade of existing panels or construction of new test supplies.  Applications assistance for these parts is provided at no charge.
